For the Dow industrial average, it has now fallen more than 10% from the high. Today, the index fell 531.14 or 3.13%. The point loss is the 9th largest decline on record. On a percentage basis, it does not make the top 20.
Globally, the Nikkei is up 11.38% on the year. France CAC is up 8.38%. The FTSE MIB is up 14.38, the German Dax is up 3.25%. The German Dax was up 27% at the highs this year.
In the US, the S&P is down -4.27% on the year.
